OTR Engineered Solutions Unveils New Tires at The ARA Show in New Orleans
ROME, GA. – OTR Engineered Solutions (OTR) introduced several new tire technologies during The ARA Show, February 19-21, in New Orleans. This included the LIFTBOSS® AWP, LIFTBOSS® Telehandler and WORKBOSS® Skid Steer tires.
Available in both directional and non-directional tread options, the LIFTBOSS® AWP tires (models D-228 and ND-226) feature low-profile designs and improved lateral stability and sidewall protection, making them ideal for aerial work platform applications. Furthermore, the non-direction tread model (ND-226) is the industry’s first of its kind for telescopic boom applications.
As with the AWP tires, the LIFTBOSS® Telehandler tires are available in both a directional and non-directional tread configuration. These are aggressive, flat-proof solid tires that include cushioning apertures to help ensure a bounce-free ride on rough terrain. In addition to telehandlers, they can be used on skid steers and other heavy-duty construction equipment.
Lastly, the WORKBOSS® Skid Steer tires are also a solid, flat-free option available with both directional and non-directional tread. As with the new Telehandler tires, the aperture structures present in the sidewall provide cushioning for a more comfortable ride, while not sacrificing stable operation. These tires are also ideal for use with compact telehandlers.
In addition to new products, OTR also used the show as a platform to reintroduce several unique services of particular interest to the rental market.
“Not only did we introduce new tires to offer rental centers higher performance, longer lasting options for their most popular vehicles, but we also took this opportunity to educate them about unique services that can further their ROI and simplify their day-to-day business,” said Bob Gilkensen, Executive Director – SolidBoss Brand at OTR. “For instance, our tire/wheel exchange program allows rental centers to purchase replacement assemblies for their equipment at a discounted rate, provided the swap assemblies are returned to OTR in working condition. This is a great way to keep their equipment rentable and making money.”
Other value-added services offered by OTR for rental operations include its proprietary TyrLyner® permanent urethane material application to help flat proof pneumatic tires, as well as foam filling options.
