OTR Wheel Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Fredrick B. Taylor in Rome, GA.  OTR is the leading specialty “Off the Road” tire and wheel distributor in North America; it is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of wheels, tires and mounted tire/wheel assemblies used on “Off the Road” equipment.  OTR produces high quality products to meet customer requirements on a global scale.  OTR Wheel Engineering is a designated “Master Distributor” for Titan international, Inc.  OTR also sources products from a variety of international wheel and rim suppliers. OTR Wheel Engineering is also a provider of specially designed tires to the aerial lift and construction industries; it is primarily focused on 3 lines of business:

• 1987 Founded by Fred Taylor in Rome, GA
• 1995 Opened facility in Chambersburg, PA (JLG Ind.)
• 1997 Opened facility in Ackerman, MS (Taylor Machine)
• 1998 Opened facilities in Waco, TX (KD Manitou), Woodinville, WA (Genie), Fresno, CA (Upright)
• 1999 Restructured Company to form Blackstone/OTR (Aerial Lift). 
• 2001 Opened Blackstone facility in Moses Lake, WA (Genie Ind.)
• 2003 Opened facilities in Gainesville, GA (Kubota L&G) and Antwerp, Belgium (JLG Ind.)
• 2004 Opened facility in Lindale, GA (Aftermarket). 
• 2005 Moved Fresno operation to North Las Vegas (Xtreme Machine).  Moved Ackerman to larger building in Louisville, MS (Taylor Machine).  Moved Waco to larger building in Waco, TX (KD Manitou).  Opened facility in Shady Grove, PA (Grove). Opened second Chambersburg, PA facility. (JLG).  Moved Lindale to larger building in Rome, GA (Aftermarket).  Expanded European operations by delivering to Bobcat in France and Terex in Italy. 
• 2007 ISO 9001 Certification Underway for all locations - Chambersburg,Redmond, Moses Lake, and Las Vegas locations ISO 9001 Certified
Restructured Company to form Blackstone/OTR (Aerial Lift). 2008 Expanding facilities in Rome, GA, Moses Lake, WA, Quincy IL, and Antwerp, BEL.
